 About the training modules
The practitioner certificate training consists
of a core group of eight modules held throughout the year, and
then a selection of one advanced module for your chosen specialization
topic (which has an extra course fee of $620. There are five
main Feng Shui modules taught by Roger Green. There are four
modules that focus on subjects such as Living Environments Ecological
Design, Sacred Geometry, and Space Clearing
We also conduct our Nutritional Coaching and Holistic
Healing and Counseling through: The
Academy of Healing Nutrition.
Summary:
Module one
starts in October each year, eg. 2009.
All 9 modules need to be completed for our certificate course
as Feng Shui Practitioner, Eco-Design Advisor and Space Clearing
Consultant, this includes all nine modules. We have modules that

Roger is recognized as one of the world's most innovative and
dynamic teachers on Feng Shui. A lively and enthusiastic teaching

 Feng
Shui is often called "The Key to Good Fortune".
The Feng Shui journey is a deep, poetical view of life's underlying
influences. It is a language of Universal cosmology and change.
We will explore what this means on all; levels, physical, emotional,
spiritual and universal. You will learn the how and why of "Energy
Design" techniques that have been associated with Feng Shui
masters for thousands of years. You will learn how to combine
the intuitive thinking processes of Feng Shui and analytical
techniques, a blend of east and west, of right and left hemispheres
of awareness.
This module will present the definitions
and principles of Feng Shui. You will learn why Feng Shui works
and how it can enhance your life so you can achieve results
in your living and business environments. Most modern designs
lack the concept of Energy flow- and energy awareness. You
have most likely heard of the concept "sick building syndrome".
Some houses just don't feel right. Some businesses do badly
for no apparent reason. Find out what the major contributing
factors to these situations are.
In the East, no major decision for business
design or location is made until it is thoroughly investigated
by a Feng Shui expert. William S. Doyle, Vice President of
a New York advertising agency describes why he uses Feng Shui
in his 16,000 square feet of offices. "People need to understand its 3,000 years of common
sense, codified and turned into principles which can be repeated
with foreseeable results. This is an art form; there is a reason

Ba Gua to Flying Star techniques
with Roger Green
 The universe and all it contains is essentially energy in a
continual state of transformation. The ancient Taoist sages of
the East observed powerful insights into the inner working of
the universe, and devised methods to trace the everlasting process
of change- the rhythm of the order of the universe.
In Module 2 we continue our journey with
an introduction to Compass School Feng Shui (the second of
the original 2 schools of Feng Shui). Using the Western Lopan
developed by Roger Green, as a reference tool, you will be
led through an exploration of all that is possible when the
8 compass directions are combined with the dynamics of yin/yang
and the 5 elements theory. With the introduction of the eight
directions we follow the evolution of the "Later Heaven Trigrams" to construct the "Bagua",
an octagonal mandala with infinite uses in Feng Shui. We examine
the Lo Shu, or the magic square of Feng Shui, as it leads to
the Ming Gua and Ba Zhai methods, the core of "Eight Houses" Feng
Shui.
Extensive workbooks by Roger Green are issued to students of
this program. These workbooks cannot be acquired anywhere else.
The result is an integrative, comprehensive, stimulating and
innovative training program, considered by many to be the finest
in the world. The SFSFS curriculum has been consistently updated
and improved over the years to reflect the most relevant subject
matter and has set many trends in Feng Shui education. This program
reaches through the centuries to successfully integrate the thousands

THE FLYING STAR TECHNIQUES:
Here we will enter into the exploration of Flying Star Feng
Shui and a more in-depth, advanced study of the Lo pan Compass.
The Universe is ever changing and natural
influences evolve with the passage of time. Flying Star Feng
Shui incorporates the elements of time and space. Discover
how to trace the pattern of change through the 20 year periods
called "ages".
Learn how to access the fortune of a dwelling. With practice,
one can become skilled at how to unblock energies that affect
the aspects of prosperity and health in a dwelling.
The Lopan Compass is the essential tool in Classical Feng Shui.
Its many rings reveal vital information in assessing a dwelling
or building site and contain a large body of knowledge that encompasses
classical Chinese philosophy, numerology and cosmology. The Chinese
Lopan can take a very long time to master since it requires prior
learning of the Chinese characters. The Western Lopan developed
by Roger Green simplifies the process and makes it easier for
the western student to learn and use.
The Lopan reveals the different energies
affect the site. With this knowledge, you can do an in depth
analysis of a home or business. An understanding of the Lopan
is considered one of the highest arts in the world of Feng
Shui.

- Recognize the cycles of time and different ages.
- Transform or 'fly' in a forward or reverse manner
depending on the age and orientations involved.
- Understand chart combinations, including inauspicious
combinations.

- Master the 81 combinations.
- Master advanced use of the western Lopan.
- Translate the I Ching compass reading into the
context of a space.
- Map the Lo Shu portents of your dwelling.
- Identify the directionology associated with
your year of birth and integrate it into your design; including
the position of the Xian Chi for enhancement of relationships.
- Discover the arrangement of the 28 lunar mansions.
- Integrate time and space for a more effective
Feng Shui consultations.
- Construct a flying star chart using
a shortcut developed by Roger Green.
- Map year and month charts.
- Apply the appropriate cures (techniques for reversing ill
fortune and improving luck).
- Understand the symbolism of numerology including analyzing
addresses and phone numbers.
- Integrate associations of the 8 trigrams (body parts, family
member, symbolism, directions) to further predict the tendencies
involved.
- Learn how to read and create your own Lopan.
- Derive Ming Gua and Ba Zhai information directly from Lopan.
- Locate the 'hsueh' - (the feng shui spot).
- Identify the 'flying star' ring.

took into consideration the underlying influences of universal
cosmology and the cycles of change. Flying Stars Feng Shui is
the most widely used method in Asia. Many of our students have
also studied Flying Stars Feng Shui and the Lopan with other

influences, and a rare form of astrology not widely known in
the west. Only a handful of westerns have been able to master
this art.

Four pillars is an ancient system of constructing
a Horoscope based on the "Heavenly Stems" and "Earthly Branches" at
the hour, day, month and year of birth. Interpretation is the
result of examining the manner in which the elemental and animal
archetypes contained in the charts interact with aspects within
the chart as well as conditions in the world.
Four Pillars' greatest strength for Feng Shui is its ability
to accurately determine the Element make-up of the subject. Once
the self-element is determined beneficial elements can be recognized
and the most appropriate Feng Shui adjustments and design choices
can be made.

 Simple Steps to Harmony with the Lessons of Wind and Water

most from themselves. To help achieve this potential, Feng Shui
allows us to create an environment that flows naturally, releasing
any blockages. Feng Shui is about harnessing 'chi', the life-force
which ripples water, creates mountains and propels us along our
path.
Discover how the Form school of Feng Shui can help you recognize
the landscapes and buildings which provide support for the residents
of homes and office buildings. Find out how to balance negative
forces that can deplete prosperity, health and well being. Combine
form school principles with classical compass methods and apply
them in a practical setting for the benefit of your clients,
and yourself.
In Module 3, students will have the opportunity to gain practical
experience and apply all they have learned in the first 2 modules
holistically. They will also have the opportunity to challenge
themselves, find out what they've mastered and become aware of
the areas that require further review. The focus of this module
is to build confidence in our student practitioners and to assure
that they are well trained before practicing on their own. The
first 3 days of this module are dedicated to practical site visits.
Students will have the opportunity to experience the components
of actual consultations in a variety of settings; all under the
expert supervision of SFSFS.
The final day is dedicated to the review of the course work
to date. There is a take- home revision exam that will be reviewed
on day 4. Students will also have the opportunity to present
their Feng Shui Consultation Project to the class for review.
These projects will be further expanded later in our Ecological
Living Designs modules. You will finish our training program
with a beautifully presented Feng Shui and Eco Design presentation,
refined and well crafted, artistically prepared, graphically
correct, and ready to be used on your website, client portfolio
and PowerPoint presentation. Completing the revision exam and
the project are required for certification.
 Doing Consultations
Our goal at SFSFS is to ensure that our students
are comfortable and adept in making professional feng shui consultations.
Students will be required to perform consultations in between
modules, so that they can consolidate and apply the information
as they gain the necessary, practical experience. After the first
two modules, students will perform one consultation, and after
acquiring more skill and confidence, students will be required
to do two or three after each of the remaining modules.

Living Environments, you will learn how to avoid and transform
environments that are debilitating and destructive and explore

practices and materials. Building in a sustainable manner is
imperative for global survival and the preservation of humanity.
Explore exciting possibilities for creating spaces following
Ecological and Sustainable Design principles. Become familiar
with the process of designing earth friendly structures that
support life and bring joy to those that inhabit them. A resource
guide to green and sustainable materials as well as class room
instruction on design will be provided.
The Healthy Dwelling and Eco-Design Principles
Knowledge of Building Biology is an essential component
of the Feng Shui course in that it enables us to guide our clients
towards optimum health. When giving a client advice on the best
way in which to arrange their home - we need to be aware of any
environmental factors that may compromise their health. This
training also addresses the biological and health aspects of
our dwellings. We will examine strategies to detect and mitigate
conditions such as indoor pollution and physical dangers in our
living and workspaces. Learn to test, diagnose and provide solutions
for creating healthier indoor space using organic design principles
and materials.
Air Quality
We can't live without air. However,
often we are living with air that is neither fresh nor clean
- and doing so compromises our quality of health and longevity.
Increasingly in our homes and offices, the air quality is depleted
because of moulds, or the variety of chemicals and synthetics
that we use. These are multiple harmful elements in the products
that we bring into the house, or are already contained in the
building materials and/or the furnishings in the home. We will
examine what these chemicals and synthetics are, how we come
across them in everyday life (usually without being aware of
it), the impact they have on our health, and how to turn the
situation around so that we can move closer to the fresh, clean
air we used to breathe.
Water Quality
We Are water. Water is a fundamental
requirement for life. Traditionally, our water supply came from
constantly moving streams, rivers or springs and was energized,
clean and pure, adding to our health and vitality. These days
the water that comes out of our taps is often a depleting cocktail
of bacteria, heavy metals, pesticides and chemicals. We'll take
a good, strong look at the state of our tap water - what's been
added to it, what that means for our health - and most importantly,
what we can do to provide ourselves with water that actually
nourishes us once again.

Passive solar design is essential,
along with day-lighting strategies, to encourage balanced emotions,
comfort, and efficiency.

Electromagnetic Fields
 Increasingly in today's industrialized world,
we are inundated with previously unknown sources of chemicals

Ecological Living
Designs with
Patricia Michael
 These
trainings with Patricia Michael will be an intimate experience
using our senses to begin to read the sacred book of nature.
We will learn how to use the five senses, as well as, intuition,
heart and mind and personal experience to bring ourselves to
an awareness of the unique aspects of any site, be it building
or land. Thus, we will engage in an embodied exploration of space.
Learn how to employ these principles to broaden the way we think
about our bodies and our environment. In this module Patricia
includes exercises, lectures, discussions and design examples
from over twenty years of Permaculture design experience, presenting
a veritable feast of techniques for growing our senses to analyze
a site and design for safety, health, comfort, beauty and success.
Using the analogy of our bodies as our first architecture, we
will introduce the development of architecture from Sufi stories
that narrate how spaces in the Middle East, North Africa and
India have been designed to support the development of the human
spirit. We will explore the use digital photography, colors,
symbols and forms as well as words as tools to record our impressions
about a site.
Design with a Deeper Agenda
This is a design system for creating sustainable human environments.
Base your designs on the observation of how healthy, natural
systems work. Learn how to truly harmonize with nature! Emphasize
integrated pest management and disaster-proof designs. Improve
the quality of water, air, soil, sound and tranquility on the
site. Create useful connections between elements through thoughtful
use of placement, scale, and edge dynamics and 'Patterns of
Nature'. The Book of Nature extends the effort to create a
sustainable environment with resources that are healthful and

This course describes the discipline of landscape design with
particular emphasis on healing and regeneration of the land.
It is a design system for creating sustainable human environments.
The kind of Design we explore is based on principles of nature,
revealed on environmental, economic, social and psychological
levels. This is landscape design involving an ethical and deep
understanding of the 'Book of Nature'.
Natural Remodeling
 We will cover a section on Natural Remodeling and Naturalizing
a Home, including Pigments, Paints, and Plasters, and Natural
Furniture. We will explore green furnishing options from the
standpoint of ergonomics and chemical components, as well as
practices of material sourcing. Wall surfaces cover a large
area, and paint is a common source of indoor air pollution.
Safe, ecologically sound, fun alternatives to conventional
paints and wall finish: casein (milk) paints, clay paints,
and earth plasters are explored. Considering that most of us
spend 80% of our time in buildings, natural material alternatives
are crucial to a healthy living environment.
The Soul of the Dwelling with Patricia Michael
Delve deeper into the unseen world of the site, the soul of the
dwelling and of the landscape, and the designer's soul (ourselves).
The class will introduce Sufi teachings from Hazrat Inayat
Khan to teach us personal practices to help achieve the attunement
necessary to work with the unseen elements of the dwelling,
the landscape and ourselves. We will strengthen and sharpen
our attunement with the whole, learning to perform specific

Sacred Geometry
-The Alchemy of Design
 Sacred
Geometry can be defined as an understanding of the underlying
numerical and geometric principles of Creation. Using an awareness
of ratio, or the relationship between two or more elements, Sacred
Geometry demonstrates how everything in the Universe is connected
and that the only power that can truly create is Love. The more
coherent a space is the more vitality it will nurture.
There exists in nature patterns in shapes, colors and mathematics
that are the description and content of creation. Within these
patterns we encounter the underlying principles that make it
possible for our universe to exist! The movement of energy as
it proceeds in its never ending process of transformation can
be seen. It is a universal language of truth, harmony, beauty,
proportion, rhythm and order. Within the dance lie sub-atomic
particles, spiraling galaxies, wave theory, zero point, holographic
fields, the fractal universe, geometry of DNA, and finally, sacred
architecture. Embark on this path to understanding who you are,
where you are from and where you are going.
Throughout this dynamic module you will:
Draw the
sacred shapes and explore their integration into real world design.
We will explore the practical uses in spatial design - a fusion
of Geomancy, science and Feng Shui, while integrating sacred
geometry and architectural harmonies into our work. Every culture
and society, since the beginning of time has had their version
of a synergistic interrelationship with these patterns. We will
view case histories and examples of the patterned language of
nature, including geometric shapes, music, art, the human body,
landscaping, architecture inspired by the Cosmic Order, including
Feng Shui, Sacred Geometry and Vastu Shastra (vedic design) Mandalas.
 Historical as well as cultural perspectives will be entertained
so as to draw a relationship between primitive indigenous and
modern design. By studying the nature of these forms and their
relationship to each other one may gain insight into the scientific,
philosophical, psychological, aesthetic, and mystical laws of
the universe.

As a rule of thumb we should employ building materials in a
state closest to that in which they are found. The more coherent
a material is the more vitality it will nurture. (best first)
Metals: Gold, palladium, platinum, silver, copper, iron, tin,
steel, aluminium.
Woods: Hardwood (close grained, hi mineral), Softwoods (loose
grained, lo mineral).
Stones: Granite, limestone (paramagnetic). Sandstone, slate (diamagnetic).
Glass.
Fabric: Hemp, silk, cotton, wool, polyester, synthetic.

Sacred Architecture
"The
bee hive and the pine cone are excellent examples of sacred architecture
because as biological capacitors they implode charge, making
life and bliss possible and sustainable. They are made of biologic
di-electric (self-similar at atomic and molecular symmetry levels),
what Reich used to call orgone material, really names for fractal
capacitive di-electric. The reason a beehive or a celtic straw
hut in sea spray makes things live so long, is because they are
good capacitors. Ancient dolmen sites, fresh eggs and even cathedrals
hold life in bliss in the spell of their charge, because they
are 'in charge' - that is - FULL OF CHARGE. Life occurs when
biological structures learn to gather charge in enough different
wavelengths to cause them to compress or 'implode'. When enough
different waves gather in one place in the Golden Mean ratio
they begin to suck in an infinite number of other waves - but
always in Golden Mean ratio. This is the only way the universe
has of arranging an infinite (in-PHI-knit) number of waves to
gather at ONE point without hurting each other."

Advanced Feng Shui and site visits
Practical site visits, Revision Exam, Student projects
In this Module, students will have the opportunity to gain practical
experience and apply everything they have learned so far in a
holistic way. They will also have the opportunity to challenge
themselves, know what they have mastered and become aware of
the areas that require further review. The focus of this module
is to build confidence in our student practitioners and to assure
that they are well trained before going out on their own.
The first 3 days of this module are dedicated to practical site
visits to different locations. Students will have the opportunity
to experience the components of actual consultations in a variety
of settings; all under Roger Green's expert supervision. The
final day is dedicated to the review of the year's work to date.
There is a take- home exam that will be reviewed on day 4. Students
will also have the opportunity to present their Project to the
class. Completing the exam and the project are a requirement
for certification.
Our goal is to achieve 100% success rate. Students
who are not quite up to speed will be encouraged and given support
in their weaker areas so that they may meet the standard of the
school.
Doing Consultations
students in a classroomWe will make sure our students
are comfortable and adept in making professional feng shui consultations.
Students will be required to perform consultations in between
modules, so that they can consolidate and apply the information
and gain the necessary, practical experience. After each of the
first two modules, students will perform one consultation, and
after acquiring more skill and confidence, students will be required
to do two or three after each of the remaining modules.
Creating Your Feng Shui Practice
Through a unique business plan, we will help students dedicate
to a solid business formula. You will learn vital marketing skills,
such as creating a business card, promotional brochures and website
development. We will help you begin and get you motivated to
start attracting clients. You will learn how to consult and follow-up
with clients for a 2-3 month period and sustain the relationship
for up to 6 months or more.
